How can electricity rehabilitate?
Electrical muscle stimulation is used successfully both in medical rehabilitation and as a complement to athletic training on all levels.
The goal of electrical muscle stimulation is to achieve contractions or vibrations in the muscles. Normal muscular activity is controlled by the central and peripheral nervous systems, which transmit electrical signals to the muscles. Electrical muscle stimulation works similarly, except that it uses external electrical impulses transmitted through the skin. They go via the nerves into the muscle, which reacts by contracting just as it does with normal muscular activity.
Electrical muscular stimulation is suitable for all the muscles in the body. You can use electrical muscular stimulation to train up muscles that are weakened after an operation, fracture, etc., and train mobility. It’s also an excellent tool for stroke rehabilitation, allowing patients to train things like handgrip and gait.
EMS. for rehabilitation purposes should be tested by a physiotherapist or other caregiver for the best results.
What is safety of using COMB STIM device?
• Caution: Federal law USA restricts this device to sale by or on the order of a physician. Keep out of the reach of children.
• Indications:
o Relaxation of muscle spasm.
o Prevention or retardation of disuse atrophy.
o Increase local blood circulation.
o Muscle re-education.
o Immediate post surgical stimulation of calf muscles to prevent venous thrombosis.
o Maintaining or increasing range of motion.
• Contraindications:
o Children - Electric neuromuscular stimulation devices should be kept out of the reach of children.
o Carotid Sinus- Do not stimulate over the carotid sinus nerves.
o Neck Stimulation - Severe spasm of the laryngeal and pharyngeal muscles may occur when the electrodes are placed across the neck or the mouth. This may be strong enough to close off the airway.
o Machinery Operation - Patient should never operate potentially dangerous machinery such as power saws, automobiles, etc. during stimulation.
• Precautions/ Side Effects:
Long-term stimulation at the same electrode site may cause skin irritation. Should this occur, remove the electrodes and discontinue stimulation, consult your clinician to determine cause of irritation. Pregnancy- The safety of stimulation for use during pregnancy or delivery has not been established.
How soon can feel relief after treating?
The answer for this is depends on the person who use and the commitment from the therapy. These units are designed to use several times a day. Patients who treat as recommended often feel results within the first week or two, but relief can take 30-60 days in some cases. Each case is different, and some conditions are much more difficult to successfully treat than others. The majority of patients who follow the recommended treatment guidelines do achieve significant results.
Are there any adverse reactions will occur when I use medical devices?
Allergic reaction to tape or gel, and skin irritation or electrode burn under electrode. If skin irritation persists, discontinue use and consult a physician.
Is photon therapy as same as using lasers from treatment?
A Though the therapy is similar. Therapeutic laser light is generally either visible (red) or invisible (infrared).
Photon therapy operates in both the visible and infrared spectrum of light.
What is the effect of infrared ray on human body?
• Reliving of pain.
• Improve strength and health
• Speed up repair of body cells
• Improve oxygen level in our body
• Promoting the elimination of nasty toxins
• Beauty care treatment: such as anti-wrinkle, prevent the formation of pigment.
How does light actually effect and help on human's health problems?
There are actually three pathways, which are now well documented, in scientific papers. The first pathway prompts the brain to release of cortisol and other healing hormones. This is important because the brain has the ability to switch off and ignore pain signals. The third pathway is the improvements made to the way the cells work and produce energy. A wide range of conditions from sports injuries to non-healing ulcers forms rheumatism to chronic fatigue.
